Jill Peirson
In memory of Jill Peirson. (June 14, 1959 - April 2, 2023).
Jill was a graduate of Phoenixville Area High School, Class of 1977. She went on to earn a BA degree in accounting from Bloomsburg State College, Class of 1981, and later completed her studies with a Master's degree from St. Joseph's University in 1989.
Jill was very active for decades with PMYC sports programs, serving as a coach in both field hockey and softball before eventually leading the programs as Commissioner. She was also instrumental in raising funds for all Phoenix High sports programs through her efforts with the Phoenixville High Boosters. In 2007, Jill was presented with a Citizen Recognition Award for her tireless efforts on behalf of area youth by the Borough of Phoenixville. She was elected to the Phoenixville High School Sports "Hall of Fame" in 2012.
On June 27, 2023, Jill's 3 brothers presented PMYC Vice President, Bruce MacLelland with a check for $10,000 from her estate.
PMYC is so very grateful to Jill for all the years of service to PMYC and the Phoenixville Community and for her generous and thoughtful gift.
